About me

I’m a married, forty-ish developer with 12+ years of experience building for the web.

College

I studied Multimedia, which gave me hands-on experience across a wide range of disciplines, from graphic design and interface layout to animation, audio, and video editing.

Early career

Around 2010, I started out in a company as a web designer. This was before Figma, before “UI/UX” became a common term. Back then, we designed websites in Photoshop, yes, Photoshop.

As a web designer, I was constantly exposed to scripting. I got hooked on jQuery, and that’s where my shift toward development began.

Freelancing

In 2013, I landed my first remote gig with WordPress. From there, I went deeper, learning the full stack and shipping real projects end to end. While still working as a Web Designer.

Over the years

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats, development, QA, UI/UX, wireframing, graphic design, and A/B testing. That range gives me a clear, end-to-end view of a project. I can help shape the plan, think through options, and make decisions that keep the work moving.

And when roadblocks show up, as they always do, I’m comfortable jumping in, troubleshooting them, and finding a practical way forward.
